Where you sleep decides two things at Disneyland Paris: whether you get Extra Magic Time, the early entry that Disney gives to guests of its own hotels, Les Villages Nature Paris guests and Disneyland Pass Gold holders, and how long the last stretch to the gate takes. The bill has a quirk too. Val d’Europe Agglomeration, the local authority around the parks, charges the same tourist tax as Paris itself: €8.45 a person a night at a four-star hotel, most of it collected for the region’s transport authority.

This guide covers four bases: the Disney Hotels beside Marne-la-Vallée–Chessy station, the Partner Hotels in Serris, the family hotels in Magny-le-Hongre and Bailly-Romainvilliers, and central Paris on the RER A. It gives the tax, the journey times and fares, 12 hotels and what Disney publishes about early entry. The hotels are researched picks, chosen for location, what each property publishes and consistent guest feedback, and each was checked as operating in October 2026. No hotel pays to appear here.

What the hotel group gets you

Disney sorts its hotels into Disney Hotels, which it runs, and Partner Hotels, which outside operators run in Val d’Europe and nearby. The group decides what you get.

Extra Magic Time. Disney’s page says guests staying at a Disney Hotel, at Les Villages Nature Paris or with a Disneyland Pass Gold can enter one or both parks before the official opening time. Partner Hotel guests are not on that list. The opening time, the length of the extra time and the park all vary, the details appear on Disney’s page up to three months ahead, and they can change until the day of your visit. You still need a park ticket.

Shuttles. Disney’s free shuttles leave about every 15 to 20 minutes, seven days a week from 6:30am to 11:45pm, and until 1am in summer. They stop at Marne-la-Vallée–Chessy station, at the Disney Hotels except Disneyland Hotel and Disney Davy Crockett Ranch, and at the Partner Hotels. Disney’s own figure for the Partner Hotels is 10 minutes, and 20 for Ki Space Hotel & Spa.

Packages. A Partner Hotel plus tickets package lets you choose one park day for every night booked, with a minimum stay of two nights, and includes free parking. Disney Hotel guests get free parking too.

The parks. The resort has Disneyland Park, Disney Village and Disney Adventure World, which took that name on 29 March 2026 in place of Walt Disney Studios Park.

The tourist tax around the parks

Hotels near the parks add the taxe de séjour per person and per night, and the rate follows the hotel’s official star rating. Val d’Europe Agglomeration publishes one grid for its ten communes, among them Chessy, Coupvray, Serris, Magny-le-Hongre and Bailly-Romainvilliers. Its 2026 totals are identical to the City of Paris’s:

Hotel category Per person, per night (2026)
Palace €15.93
Five stars €11.70
Four stars €8.45
Three stars €5.53
Two stars €3.25
One star €2.60
Not classified 5% of the nightly cost per person, with the same extra shares added

The total is built from the local share (€2.60 at four stars), a 10% department share, a 15% regional share and a 200% share for Île-de-France Mobilités, the region’s transport authority. Under-18s are exempt. Disney’s booking terms for packages say local tax is paid as part of the balance, not in the deposit.

Our arithmetic, with two adults and two children under 18 for three nights: at a four-star hotel such as Hôtel l’Elysée Val d’Europe the tax is 2 × 3 × €8.45, or €50.70. At the three-star Campanile Val de France it is 2 × 3 × €5.53, or €33.18, and at the five-star Disneyland Hotel 2 × 3 × €11.70, or €70.20. Disney lists Disney Hotel Santa Fe as two stars, which would make it €19.50. Check the classification on your booking confirmation.

Getting in from the airports, and around

Airport shuttle. The Magical Shuttle runs from Charles de Gaulle and Orly to the Disney Hotels, the Partner Hotels and the parks. The shuttle’s own price is €24 for an adult each way, €11 for a child under 12, and nothing for a baby from 0 to 2. It lists an estimated journey of one hour, while Disney’s help page says about 45 minutes.

RER A from Paris. Disney puts the parks about 35 minutes from Paris on the RER A, and its help page gives about 35 minutes from Nation. By our reading of the line, Gare de Lyon is the stop before Nation and Châtelet–Les Halles the one before that, so allow a little longer from either. The line ends at Marne-la-Vallée–Chessy, a 2-minute walk from Disneyland Park, Disney Adventure World and Disney Village. The Val d’Europe stop serves the shopping centre, the outlet village and l’Elysée.

Fares. Île-de-France Mobilités prices a single Métro-Train-RER ticket at €2.55 in 2026 and a Navigo Jour pass for zones 1 to 5 at €12.30, airports excluded. Check the fare to Chessy in its journey planner before you travel.

Train and coach. Disney says Eurostar from London St Pancras reaches the resort in about three hours with a change at Lille, and that the station is at the gates of the parks. The Disneyland Paris Express coach runs from five points in Paris, including Gare du Nord and Bercy, as a same-day return only, and its ticket must be bought with a park ticket.

Disney runs seven hotels, from the five-star Disneyland Hotel at the park entrance to Disney Davy Crockett Ranch, 15 minutes away by car with no shuttle. Disney lists the walk to the parks for each, so you can choose by distance. We picked three here and two more below.

Where to stay in the Disney Hotels

How the hotel links work: a hotel’s name goes to its own website. “Check rates” opens it on Booking.com through our partner Stay22, which pays us a commission if you book, at no extra cost to you.

The value Disney Hotels: Santa Fe and Sequoia Lodge

Two lower-rated Disney Hotels keep the Extra Magic Time that Partner Hotels lack. Both stand a little further from the gate: Disney gives a 20-minute walk for one and 15 for the other, and a free shuttle for both.

Where to stay in the value Disney Hotels

Serris and Val d’Europe: the RER stop and the mall

Serris is the town around Val d’Europe, with an RER stop, a shopping centre and the SEA LIFE aquarium. Disney’s Partner Hotels there run a free shuttle to the parks. Disney’s Extra Magic Time page does not name Partner Hotel guests.

Magny-le-Hongre and Bailly-Romainvilliers: family hotels with a shuttle

South of the parks, two communes hold family hotels that Disney lists with a free shuttle of about 10 minutes. They suit a car, a family or a longer stay, and the tax is the same grid as above.

If Disney is a day or two of a Paris trip, sleep in Paris and take the RER A. You get no Extra Magic Time and you travel twice a day, but you stay in the city. Both stations below sit on the line, and the Paris tax is the same grid as above. Where to stay in Paris covers the other districts, and where to stay in Paris for New Year’s Eve covers the night of 31 December.
